Silent inflammation as a cause of chronic diseases, unnoticed by the patients, often presents us with diagnostic and therapeutic challenges in our daily practice; often there are neither symptoms nor specific complaints on the part of the affected persons. For them, this inevitably leads to long periods of suffering with treatment approaches that are not geared to the cause. Furthermore, “detective work” is often required, especially from a preventive medical perspective, in order to prevent irreversible diseases as a result of silent inflammations.
